Supporting children and parents

Tim at the Crucial Crew eventAnother hectic day on the campaign trail in South Suffolk. We moved from Capel St Mary to a meeting of ‘Crucial Crew’ at the Delphi Centre in Sudbury. This excellent initiative sponsored by Sudbury Rotary Club involves hundreds of children from nearby schools learning about real life emergencies. My warm congratulations go to all the volunteers who made this possible.

From here we went to Lavenham and met lots more voters on a hot sunny afternoon. The early evening was spent in Hadleigh meeting many of our brave service men and women and their families.

A highlight of the day came right at the end at the Stoke by Nayland Golf Club where the parents fighting for a new school at Stoke by Nayland gathered to hear presentations from Ronan Connolly the organiser, from Rachel Wolf of the New Schools Network and from a representative of CLARE who are fighting a similar battle a few miles to the west. This packed meeting was lively and enthusiastic and I welcomed the chance to pledge my full and continuing support for their efforts to provide a wider choice of schools for families in the area.
